Agent Happenings:

Feeling no Pressure

You’ll never see Tammie Cutchen sweat during an “off-the-cuff” speech. She is an experienced public speaker and feels no pressure. “I simply explain by example,” Cutchen, vice president of personal insurance, said of her professional seminar speeches. “Examples ensure the agents completely understand the insurance products they will be selling, and how to properly sell them.”

Cutchen spoke at The Cincinnati Insurance Company’s Personal Insurance School in March and September of 2007. This school, held in Cincinnati, Ohio, allows insurance agents from all over the country to come and learn about different products and innovative sales strategies from top executives.

Cutchen is in her sixth year with S.S. Nesbitt and is no amateur in this business. The purpose of her speech was to give a professional perspective on one of Cincinnati’s homeowner insurance policies and explain how she sells that particular policy.

Both the speech and the class were a success. The only pressure was on the grapes at The Vinkolet, a world-renowned vineyard, where Cincinnati treated the entire group to a multi-course meal.
